Camino Frances - Sarria to Dantiago - Day 8

Salceda - O Pedrouzo

sunny 29 °C

9km, 19k steps

A short walk today, having walked a bit longer yesterday, mostly gradual descents and flat paths with a mix of gravel/wooded paths and quiet roads. Lots of shade today and not as hot as yesterday.

My legs are covered in bites, so I stopped at a farmacia for some crema 😁. Helping with the itch and swelling.

O Pedrouzo, aka O Pino, is a small town with all amenities. The restaurant we chose for dinner (based on good reviews of their hamburgers) opened for dinner at 7:30, so we decided on churros with chocolate and ice cream for a late lunch. Very yummy.

The burgers and fries were ok, but we elected to try the cheaper Mixta meat, which was described as pork and beef. I would guess the pork was minced ham. Not bad, but I expect the 100% beef was better at twice the price.

Not many pics today with such a short walk.
