Parque la Paloma

sunny 14 °C

I set out with a few spots noted on google maps with a tree symbol or hiker, which I thought would make good spots for hiking.

First off through Benalmadena...

...to Parque la Paloma, a beautiful park with an unexpected zebra. I was saddened that the sign in the second pic would be ever necessary.

My next stop was on the map as "El Garito" (the joint), which I thought would be a park. While I could see the city from the hill, "the joint" was ruins of a building, likely now used as a place for the underage kids to party (there are places like this everywhere, no?) and otherwise a place to dump surplus building materials.

Then I walked along quiet, but wide boulevards to the "hiking" spot which turned out to be another entrance for walking to the Mirador de la Canada del Lobo (from my hike on Friday). Unfortunately, I didn't have time to hike further today. If I have a chance, this will be my next hike in Torremolinos.

We finished the day with dinner at Bombay Grill and enjoyed yummy curry and naan - I love naan.
