Parque natural del Guadalhorce

sunny 18 °C

Today's walk was east toward Malaga, walking to the very end of the tiled beachside walkway, across the beach in front of the airport and Campo de Golf and crossing the Guadalhorce river to the Refugio de Pecha and Lagunas - 16km round trip (compared to 23km for yesterday's hike). This was a completely flat terrain walk, nice beach views and a lovely park at the end.

The no-camping signs seem to be more of "guideline" than a "rule"

Parque natural del Guadalhorce was very pretty with little observatorio huts

I took the road back, which had some nice neighbourhoods and homes, but also sections of busy road with no sidewalks. A mixed bag.

Lots of places are closed for vacaciones this time of year, but this place is closed for a different reason.
